Shirley Holland is the the Vice President of Community Health and Development for Carilion Clinic with responsibilities including Planning and Market Research, Community Health and Research, and Carilion Direct. A member of the Carilion family since the 1980s, she was instrumental in the development of the Carilion brand as well as a number of programs such as HeartNet, Healing Arts, Healthy Roanoke Valley, and others. An avid community collaborator, Shirley also serves on the boards of the Western Virginia Water Authority, Freedom First Enterprise, Visit Virginia’s Blue Ridge, Local Office on Aging, and YMCA of Roanoke Valley. She has two grown children and enjoys traveling, historic preservation, and being outdoors in her free time.
Shirley has a B.A. in History and Political Science from Bridgewater College and a M.B.A. from Radford University.
