Daniel Merenda is the retired President of the Council of Community Services in Roanoke, Virginia. He led a team of 53 employees that provide information referral and planning services focusing on the Roanoke Valley and Southwest Virginia. He formerly served as President and CEO of the National Association of Partners in Education in Alexandria, Virginia and is considered one of America’s foremost experts on public and private partnerships. He is the author of numerous articles and several books, including, A Practical Guide to Creating and Managing a School/Community Partnership. He is a former Superintendent of Schools and has been a consultant to governments and businesses around the world.
