Carol Tuning is the chair of the Blue Ridge Continuum of Care and the Human Services Administrator for the City of Roanoke where she works closely with community non-profit agencies to foster collaboration and strengthen existing programs. her responsibilities include grant administration and oversight for projects totaling in excess of $1.6 million.
She currently serves on the United Way Emergency Food and Shelter Board, the Community Impact Committee, the Governors Coordinating Council on Homelessness, and the Facade Improvement Committee for the Town of Rocky Mount. She is a past board member of the Virginia Coalition to End Homelessness and the Southern Virginia Child Advocacy Center. She received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Ferrum College and her graduate degree from Hollins University with a focus on leadership development.
